After 3 years with my incredible 4770. I have finally got an upgrade. Managed to get an MSI cyclone Power card very cheap (£100).

I thought the 4770 was a good card (for what I paid for it), but this one is even better.
It isnt an oc version of the MSI but it still overclocks well. Ive manages to get the core from 775 to 940 along with decreasing the volts. On full loads it tops out at 65c with the default auto fan setting. The memory is up at 1150 from the default 1000, runs fine with no artifacts. It will take 1200+ but im not sure whether the gddr5 is error correcting, as im not 100% sure how to check.

The only problem i found with this card was when I got it, on stock its full load temps were around 83c. Ended up taking the cooler off and someone had used FAR too much thermal grease. Like a table spoons worth. Reseated it with some MX2 I had lying around.
I was REALLY surprised with the -20c drop in temps on full load :D

What is the best way to go about checking if the memory isnt error correcting? I haven't seen any artifacts on 1200mhz, but the performance doesnt change a whole lot.

Performance gain would be minimal. Nothing you would probably notice. Especially if you already hit the V-sync.
