My question to you is this... (had to scale down cause of Photobuckets retarded size limits) I get 60FPS with that due to VSync.

Does Crysis look like that on your PC?

With the full force of the celeron behind it...
This thing is fast man, believe the hype :rockout: I have been stuck using my p3 since 2000, never knew games moves this damn fast  I should have some crysis benchmarks soon also.

in fact, the 9500 gt is slighty better than a 8600 gtS which is an overclocked 8600 gt ;).

but there are pci-e 1x 9500 gt, so maybe there is your card ;)

I am not buying a pci-e1x card, i refused to lol. When i go video card shopping i will see what to buy. But as i said my 2400 and 8400gs will do just fine right now.

Flyordie I haven't played Crysis yet on my rig. I Haven'T played alot of games. still working on things at the moment.

So after years of resisting, you've finally gotten a new PC? About time! :toast:
You should be able to modify a 9500 GT to run in that PCI-E x1 slot, so you wouldn't need an adapter, or you could just cut out the edge of the PCI-E slot.
PCI-E uses modular lanes, so that you can put a x1 card into a x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot. It also works the other way around. If you have a x16 card, you can modify the slot or the card to make it fit (and work) in a x4 slot. I'm not sure about x1 slots, but here's what someone did with their 4350: http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=88791
The power supply to the card shouldn't be affected, but it will be bottlenecked.

I'm telling you, you will not be able to run a full-blown PCI-E x16 card in that PCI-E x1 slot. You only buy cards without external power connectors so it has to take power from the slot. PCI-E 1.1 (which is probably what you have) is spec'd for 75w. But that's the x16 slot. PCI-E 2.0 is spec'd for 150w. Even if you had PCI-E 2.0, you still won't be able to run a x16 card in a x1 slot without power issues. :banghead:

Put it this way... buying a computer with only a pci-e x1 slot and expecting to be able to use a pci-e x16 video card is like getting into an olympic foot-race (track) and blasting yourself in the foot with a hammer just before the race starts and still expecting to win.

Yes and i was wrong for not listening to everyone. My p3 was great, but what a difference a computer makes.

You should be able to modify a 9500 GT to run in that PCI-E x1 slot, so you wouldn't need an adapter, or you could just cut out the edge of the PCI-E slot.

:wtf: i am not doing all of that man lol. I might just end up buying a 9500gt pci if i find it or a version of the 9400gt. I haven't even tried my 8400gs yet, but my 2400HD is working amazing with games. :rockout:

Congrats on the new PC u2k. I hope you enjoy it as much as you enjoyed your P3 machines.
Thanks, and i am getting rid of my Pentium III. :)

better sound quality
Sound is just fine, using headphones+sound blaster, no EAX btw. None of that cracking noise either.
