As I was afraid, I still have problems with it.

First is this weird monitor "crash", where I was in windows explorer, browsing through the steam client when the video just crashed. I thought my system crashed, but actually the second monitor was still ok (I could move the mouse around and icons). I had to reset.

Then I had this BSOD when I was watching a .mkv video. Haven't done much gaming but can't tell how reliable it is as my longest play period was less than 30 minutes.

Looks like the video card again to me...

Disable hardware acceleration,
test with ccc and other ccc apps uninstalled
do catalyst custom install driver only

Edit: set CPU and MEM default clocks; run no OC while testing

Quick update on this.

Looks like Catalyst 13.4 with no CCC installed does not BSOD me anymore. Catalyst 13.9 does...

Add ccc apps back one by one to see which is causing the issue; test the system at each stage

I was wrong. I just played Battlefield 3 campaign and got hit by another BSOD, 1a.

I'm thinking it might be the motherboard. I am running everything at stock

Hi

What motherboard bios version is installed?
Did the system have BSOD before new hardware was installed e.g: vga card?

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff557391(v=vs.85).aspx

Is a memory management issue; nb: IMC [integrated memory controller] is on the CPU

Did windows make a dump file; Use Blue Screen View to interrogate Minidump

reseat the *CPU [while cpu is removed reset motherboard bios]
new TIM for the heat sink
reseat RAM [*test each stick one at a time & set the timings manually in bios]

minimal build, PSU, CPU & Heat Sink, one stick of RAM, Vga Card [then add one piece or hardware at a time and test at each stage]

*If have a spare hdd /ssd fresh install and service pack for windows;
run all updates including DirectX
