GPU black screen discussion Funmark and 3dmark

Hello,

First of all sorry if my english sucks.
So I bought a new GPU, CPU, MB, RAMs and SSD about a month ago to build a 'new' PC including a 720W CoolerMaster PSU and HDD I owned for about 6 years ago and three days before today I began experiencing black screens with 'no signal' title in my PC every time I opened a 'demanding' game such as Modern Warfare (Warzone) or Borderlands 3 forcing me to restart the PC each time. I tried with Minecraft and I can run it without any problems with excelent FPS but when I tested exploding a lot of TNTs then the PC got a black screen with in few seconds after the game 'loaded' the aftermath of the explosion.

I stress tested my RAMs, CPU and GPU. RAMs and CPU did excelent with no problems but when I tested my GPU with 3dmark after 2-3 seconds in I got a black screen. The weird thing is that I tested after using Funmark and my GPU did excelent without any black screen! So in conclusion my GPU gets a black screen with 3dmark but not with Funmark and so I am now confused af...

I also updated my BIOS lol

My PC specs are:
- i5 9400F
- MSI RTX 2060 Ventus 6GB XS OC
- MSI H310M PRO-VDH PLUS Mother Board
- 2x A-DATA 8GB
- CoolerMaster 720W PSU
- WD 120GB SSD
- WD 1TB HDD

Check PSU's 24-pin connector and wires that are connected to it (also, when shutdown occurs - check by hand if plastic on plug/connector near 5V/3,3V wires is warm to touch).
There is a chance a 3,3V or 5V wire(s) are partialy cut, OR 3,3/5V rails are having stability issues during max load.

PS. Do you use extenders for ATX/EPS/GPU power connectors ?

Crap Motherboard, I'd say the VRM is overheating.
Furmark may be a power hog but it's placing load mainly on the GPU, and therefore PSU too.
Load up the CPU and VRM will cook.

You got a black screen of death, a crash of the system, ou just a black screen for a few seconds, and then things continue?

Crap Motherboard, I'd say the VRM is overheating.

I doubt it, that's a pretty low power CPU.

Furmark is worthless as a stress test, it's gets recognized as a power virus and it causes the card to downclock a lot more than usual.

Furmark and Prime95 are completely useless and even dangerous when running over a long period of time.

but still.. you should not have a black screen/crash when using it.

the first step i'd do is DDU the driver and reinstall it. (Download DDU and the latest driver, hold Shift while restarting your PC and go into the troubleshooting and boot into safe mode without network (pressing 4 when you are on the selection screen to boot into safe mode (without network). AND unplug your Internet to not have auto install drivers after you're done.
Open DDU settings and select everything with Nvidia (including delete C:/ NVidia) and run DDU with clean and reboot.

after that install the latest driver and reboot again.

then connect to the internet again.

if it does work, you're fine.

if not i'd say your PSU is dead or deteriorated enough to not supply enough power under load.
