gpu fan won't speed back down?

i have a gigabyte radeon 6850 and i edited and flashed the bios with RBE. everything seem to work because my fan is spinning at 30% initially. when i start playing games, the fan speeds up to 50% and won't drop back down even though the temp has fallen. anyone else experiencing this?

also, on gpu-z the fan speed sensor seem to be very erratic. it jumps from 2000 to 400000 rpm. i assume it's reading it incorrectly. is there a fix for this? thanks

I don't think fan profiles with RBE work correctly due to driver interference. Your best bet is to use the original bios and use a program like MSI Afterburner to set a fan curve. I haven't done this for a while so something could have changed with RBE.
