I'd go for a GTX 1070 Ti/1080 or VEGA64 myself (only if price is reasonable and not madly inflated)....heck, I actually have a VEGA64 Red Devil in my 2nd rig, and a Leadtek GTX 1080 Hurricane OC in my HTPC rig. Hopefully, with more games supporting FSR, the GTX1000 series/VEGA56/64, you'd get more 'life' outta them. I've tried Godfall at 4K with FSR at 'Quality' preset + EPIC settings and managed 40fps to 60fps which, although doesn't sound that great, it ran smoothly enough. Imagine the humble GTX 1080 doing a game like Godfall at 4K!

Honestly, image quality, as HardwareUnboxed and GN had, Ultra Quality and Quality presets have good enough quality with good uplift in framerate, unless you're into stopping the game to zoom in 2x-3x and pixel peep. I was too busy running around, hacking and slashing to notice drop in image quality, it was still good.

very tempted. will have to look at the reasonable rates. it is tricky doing this because Im on the road for work until December

I have a 1080 on ebay right now https://www.ebay.com/itm/124801266084 upgraded finally so no longer need it (EBay pricing not withstanding, I'd sell cheaper here)

Runs great, could use a good hit with some compressed air tho :p (No temp issues, just some daily use buildup since I put this tower together a year ago)

nvm, the card actually sold at ebay prices... basically means I bought my 3060ti at msrp now tho so that's cool.
