Hi im new to the Forum and iv been on the hunt for a new Gpu my current is a Gigabyte gtx 750 ti black oc edition. I was told by my buddy to go here and ask for everyones opinion. My top price is $250 and i was try running on 2560 x 1080.

In my opinion i think an R9 380 would be the best option and under that would be the gtx 960.

Add $50 to the budget and get a 970/390 if you are using 2560x1440.

save the most money you could ... get GTX 970 or look for second hand / used 770/780/780ti....
pd: on sale forums are 970's on $250 each .. look there.... used options from trusted people here...

would a 970 fit in a bitfenix prodigy m? and he said 2560 x 1080 so im assuming ultra wide monitor is what he is trying to use. And then another idea is he could get a used gtx 960, iv seen them go as low as 150-170 and then use the rest and work on getting a better processor. or heck he could ever buy a second gtx 960 if he wants to save a lil more of cash and get better performance on games that support sli

For 250~ you can add 50 and get a 970 / 390 (I'd prefer the 390, clearly) or at 250 used 970/780 Ti/290X. If you don't want a used card and don't want to spend more than 250 get a R9 380, as already mentioned.
