GPU occasionally drops down to 0% out of nowhere, causing apps to freeze

I'm not sure if this is the right place to be asking this question, but it seems to be the best one to ask about my issue.

Lately, I've been dealing with my laptop's apps occasionally freezing when I'm in the middle of playing a game, or browsing the internet.
Today I tried inspecting to see what's happening to my computer to cause these sudden freezes, I've noticed that whenever one of these happened, the GPU usage just suddenly drops from 30-50% to 0%.
I have no idea what could be causing this to happen, everything I tried hasn't worked at all so far. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

Drivers are already as updated as can be, nvidia is already on high performance and I already tried messing with graphics, still get the drops

Besides that, I can already discount the following as possibilities:
- Virus/Malware (I do regular virus checks and never go on suspicious websites or download anything off of them)
- SSD issues (CrystalDiskInfo says it's healthy and I ran chkdsk and got nothing)
- Background processes/startup apps (I turned off everything that didn't have any reason to be turned on and it didn't affect anything)
- Browser and Discord (even if they're completely closed, it doesn't make the drops stop)
