GPU Upgrade to a 2016 rig

Hello guys!

I purchased a rig 3 years ago, but I didn't bought any GPU for it. I didn't have the money back then to buy one, and I wasn't playing anything that needed a dedicated GPU 'til now basically xD.

This is my currently setup:

Case: Zalman Z11
CPU:6600K
Motherboard:GigaByte Z170X Gaming 3
Memory:G. Skill 16GB 3000Mhz DDR4
Graphics Card:Onboard
HDD/SSD:Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
Sound Card:Onboard
PSU:EVGA Super Nova 650W
Cooling:Cryorig H7
Operating System:Windows 10

Could you please suggest any card that doesn't surpass much the 250€ mark?
I was thinking about a 1660. It won't provoke a bottleneck, right?

Thanks in advance :)

Your CPU will become a bottleneck with higher fps depending on the game.

What monitor do you have? If it's 60Hz, and not 4K you'll be fine.

Even if I do a soft OC on it? My monitor is rather old, so... xD

It's a old one from Asus. I will be more specific when once I get home.

I was thinking on getting this AOC G2590FX 24.5. It's not that expensive (137.52€) and I think it gets the job done. What you think?

If you aren't averse to buying second hand, a lot of GTX 1070 can be had around 200€ give or take. They have 8 GB of VRAM and a bit more rendering performance as well. I've bought a lot of used cards myself and never had an issue. But it's a trade off, more power for less money (or the same) but no warranty and maybe have to take it apart to redo the thermal paste. :)

Edit: And RX Vega 56 is in that sub 250€ price range used as well. (German Ebay prices.)

I checked, and Vega 56 OC is at 250€ on Amazon DE, and I can get this monitor for 200€ from a friend, with almost no use - AOC gaming c27g1. Do you think I can buy something better with that prince range?

Lol you could get a used 2016 TITAN XP Ultimate for that. "Bottleneck" does not exist. It is a term coined by capitalist propaganda to make people throw away money on new things. ANY GPU will work with any CPU. Every GPU will work with your CPU.

I have tested numerous GPUS with a Q6600. Even a GTX 1070 has no bottleneck in games. And I can play any new games on 2560x1440. Almost all modern "AAA" games have fake CPU requirements.

Vega 56 looks to be the best deal for you. It's a little faster than a 1070 or a 1660 Ti overall and certainly faster than a 1660 (non Ti)

Sorry for this off topic: where you buy used hardware (second hand) in Germany? I ask because i am relative new in this country and a part ebay-kleinanzeigen i don't found other markets (maybe you can replay in private). Thanks :) .
