Try it... you are 'close' with three... you would be surprised I think...
I started with two cards, bought the third after 6 weeks.:fear:

If you look close at the pic of my desk, you'll see the third card sitting on top of my Carbide Air, even. You're not telling me anything I don't know. I simply don't care. :p

I'm typing this from an ECS LIVA box, anyway (It's kind of slow, but manageable). Yep, three cards is a bit overkill for my gaming rig.. I do not give a crap. :p

From what I understand, there is "rated" boost, which is a number determined by NVIDIA, in an experimental fashion, which is the number GPU-Z shows.

The highest possible boost clock is higher indeed, which is part of NVIDIA's philosophy to provide a more "typical" number.

I'm not sure how to read max boost clock, and whether it's even possible at all without putting load on the card. I'll look into it

Could have a small piece of code apply load to the gpu, enough for the gpu to reach max boost, then have gpuz read that and out it as the boost. All this could be done while gpuz loads up like cpuz has a littlr loading box initializing everything.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)

Good thinking... but dear god do not have it load up as slow as CPUz does. That thing takes like 10 seconds on my 4930k...

Yeah,
You need water Dave :p
it was $600 on decent water, or try another card first. Roughly the same cost.

Thing is, I like to play games, and console power for the next 5 years or so is set in stone. I have no plans to buy another upgrade for many years, rather than every year. Tri-Sli scales pretty good in games for me.

Yeah Nvidia scored many aces lately with drivers, every single game works with SLI.

Feels so damn good after years of crossfire pain.

Also custom water, if made right is damn expensive, I recall I spent basically the same amount of what I paid for my hardware. I did overkill though.
