gpu z problem with x-fi

When u have an creative x-fi pci sound card in you system, if u choose to extract your vbios, after the extracting every time the soundcard emits a hight pitch sound that can only resolved with restart.
This problem exists only with the extract fuction.

Next time just disable x-fi in device manager, extract bios and then enable x-fi again.

Ive had multiple X-Fi cards and never had this issue. Please follow this link and fill out your system specs. It will help us diagnose potential issues quicker.

In the early days i had an issue where running any sort of utility app like GPU-Z or CPU-Z would make my PC freeze. Those days are long gone though.

I filled out my system specs.
Maybe because my x fi is older pci version ?
My motherboard uses an pci to pci-e bridge 1081 version 3.

It could be. technically speaking that card isnt officially supported on Windows 10 by creative. If you are running the card. you are either running 3rd party drivers or using microsoft's default ones which are rather basic if anything.

the card supports windows 10 and the driver is from 12/2015 as i can see from device manager.
I use daniels drivers that depended on last creative driver :

Interesting, thanks for the report. Not sure why this happens. BIOS saving just disables (and re-enables) the graphics device as that's required by recent NVIDIA cards to read the BIOS

I dont know but if i go in control panel and enable and disable the gpu manually it work ok.
basically i made 10 enable and disable the video card ant the sound works.
I tried one more the gpu z and again it happened what is the diference i dont know.

That card seems to be reading something from the bus that's not meant for it. It looks like a bigger issue than a high pitch sound that goes away after a reset.

with hardware info 64 i dont see anything strange registers in the pci bus.
