GPU-Z Showing sensor data from first GPU for other GPUs

Hello,

Just tried this with GPU-Z v0.7.8 and 0.8.3. The same observation applies to both versions.

I have a system with one Nvidia Quadro Z420 GPU for display and two Quadro K5200 GPUs being use for computations. Both K5200 cards are in TCC mode. GPU-Z shows accurate information for each card in the "Graphics Card" tab. However, the sensor data displayed even when a K5200 is selected appears to be the sensors from the K420. I can watch the utilization reported by the "nvidia-smi" command line go up to 99% in a K5200, but GPU-Z just reports the GPU Load from the K420.

Is there an issue with reading sensor data from a Quadro card in TCC mode?

Thanks,
---H

I think GPU-Z can not monitor any card in TCC mode. Not 100% sure

It would appear then, that there are two problems.

1) GPU-Z not supporting sensors for cards in TCC mode. Nvidia-smi and the Nvidia WMI provider both report information for TCC and non-TCC cards. Please support this feature in GPU-Z.

2) More importantly, GPU-Z does not let the user know that there is no valid sensor information for a selected GPU. In the case of selecting a TCC mode GPU, GPU-Z claims to be working and reports sensors from another non-TCC GPU in the same system.

Thanks,

Sorry to revive an old thread, but the issue was originally back with GPU-Z version 0.8.3.
Has monitoring a GPU in TCC mode ever been added to GPU-Z in a newer version?

Thanks,

The problem is that only 64-bit applications can use the nvidia-smi API
