As the title, it just froze and I know I could just restart my PC, but I was wondering if anyone had an issue like this and why it might happen?

Without this info, we would just be guessing around aimlessly.

* Could you not invoke Windows Task Manager and kill the GPU-Z process, instead of fully restarting the PC?

Or was it a "hard freeze", where no other way than reset via hardware Reset button was possible?

You're right, very sorry! It wasn't a hard freeze, rather just that UI specifically was on my monitor. Everything else was completely functional. I couldn't see GPU-Z in the processes either. It hasn't happened since, but it was definitely really weird for it to happen.
