but surely they would sell more ps4s at launch along with gt6

I can't even think of why they would not release on PS4 also, they really need some exclusive heavy hitting titles for the launch and most of what they have shown for it is pretty much meh besides like 2 titles and people would buy a PS4 just for gran turismo.:shadedshu Seems they did not learn a lesson from the PS3 launch.

I can't figure out why none of them have been made for the PC, but whatever.

Although I could understand it being made for the PS3, with all the code for it, them usually making two for each console, and now they're fixing a bunch of crap so people with a PS3 aren't stuck with the previous. And who says they aren't developing GT6 for the PS4 also?

I was really disappointed by GT5 too, all those years in development and still 80% of the cars looked and handled like turds, such a shame, I've had every single GT game to date, but to me Polyphony Digital is not in touch with fans of the series anymore.

Sadly, (or should I say fortunately?) the latest releases in the Forza series have been much better in terms of physics, gameplay and plain fun; by releasing GT6 for PS3 I've lost whatever little faith I still had in the GT series

Took them 6 games to get a quattro S1 in there...
Anyway, why the PS3?
It makes no sense. The game has no release date and the PS4 should be released in the holidays. And, by what I saw, it looks a lot like GT5...just with silverstone and a couple of new cars...why not release this as DLC for GT5?
Is PD taking a note from microsoft/Volition+THQ (at the time)?

EDIT:...let's see how many more it will take to get a 037...

I am almost glad it is not being released for PS4. They will need time to work on a new game on an entire different platform. Plus the game would not nearly be as far into development if they would be releasing on the the PS4. I am very glad that they are releasing GT6 they just need more if not all premium cars and other enhancements, which is steams to appear what they are doing. We just have to wait for GT7 for PS4

If they got enough done to get this game out very soon, they might as well put it out on the PS3 as that would mean it's basically done. If they are going to hold off a year or more, I'd rather they just start retooling it for the PS4 (even though I doubt I'll be buying one anytime soon after it launches).

ps1 -gt and gt2

ps2 -gt3 and gt4

ps3 -gt5 and gt6

so two versions for each console,which is the norm for alot of games
on consoles and such.

so ps4 will get gt6,gt7 and gt8
or just gt6 and gt7

think there will be alot of peeved gamers if gt6 comes out on both consoles

GT5 - very very boring very very fast, and the cars don't give the feeling a realism at all, its like driving bricks sometimes, if its anything like 5 I'm not buying it.

Yeah, but GT5 came a lot later in the console's life time (which was a big mistake, even though PD says the game was rushed), compared to the previous games, and GT6 is announced right when the successor console is being unveiled. Now, with the previous games, the successor close to the new console reveal was released for the said new console.
But GT gamers won't be more peeved than FIFA players if it's launched for both consoles. If anything, they just won't be motivated to buy the new console. Also, from that trailer, the game still looks a lot like GT5, graphically (which is what I think GT's trump card is...that and the number of available vehicles).
