Greetings sub-forum

I was wondering if we could get a "greetings" sub-forum put on TPU. Allowing for new comers to say hey and maybe a little about themselves so we know about the person.

Just an Idea.

Nice idea. Only problem is that newbies probably wouldnt know about the club-house. So it wouldnt serve much purpose. Telling newbies to "go there" is a bit rude IMO.

"Introduce yourself" area at the head of the forum???

While I have nothing against people introducing themselves if they want, a dedicated forum or subforum seems like it would be a post spam magnet. What's wrong with people just introducing themselves in their first post on the forums (in whatever forum they actually need/want to post in)?

You see this already in the hardware/software forums. People introduce themselves and then usually ask a question. TPU users respond with some sort of welcome, and then assist with the question if they have experience in the problem.

I suppose you could put something in the Comments and Feedback section, as that forum tends to keep all the drama in one place anyway, but people have been coming to TPU all along, becoming well known, active member without a formal "Introductory" section.

Just my 2 cents. :toast:

tbh when i first came here, i introduced myself in my first post. I thought it was rude to ask for help from others without saying Hi tbh. I wouldnt like to put info out there about myself to people i dont know. If people want to know about me they will find out overtime or by becoming a friend.

For those people that cant be bothered to say hi etc, wont be bothered to post a thread about themselves. I dont really think it is needed tbh. The community is strong and i dont think this would add anything imo.
