GT 730M | Modding 497.29 drivers

Hi. I've tried to install the latest Nvidia 497.29 driver with Nvcleaninstall, but i got no luck.

My laptop is Lenovo ThinkPad T440p
and dGPU is Nvidia Geforce GT 730M 1GB DDR3

Device ID:
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1290&SUBSYS_221D17AA&REV_A1

I know that this thing is possible, but there is almost no information when tried to search on google. While the neighboring mobile cards from AMD have a modder and the latest drivers.

Use the last known working driver

R470 series is the last to support Kepler.
Try 472.84

Unpack your favourite driver with 7zip

Open NVCleanstall

select "use driver files from disk", navigate to the setup.exe of the unpacked driver
select components to install
select "add hardware support" under installation tweaks
select name, then ID (the hex number from the right)
select a GPU as template which is most similar to the target GPU

Thanks, the driver is indeed installed. but the last 479.29 doesn't work

Kepler support has been physically removed from R495 drivers as documented at

Release Notes :: CUDA Toolkit Documentation

The Release Notes for the CUDA Toolkit.

If you sneak a peek like this:
FIND "GK100" nvlddmkm.sys
you get the impression that R495 still can be modded for Kepler.

However i know other Kepler users who tried this without success.

I guess NVIDIA did not clean up their source code.

After many updates I returned to the official Lenovo

The latest official from Lenovo NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M_425.91 debloded driver (no telemetry or unnecessary components)

-About video cards, the drivers of which are very fond of updating in the hope of high FPS.
Do not invent fairy tales with high FPS by updating drivers.
If such a driver is released that will increase FPS,
then this will only mean one thing - the vendor deliberately underestimated it with the previous driver.
There are no miracles.
You need to understand that a couple of lines of code will not change the FPS even by 1 unit.
This is possible only with a complete rewrite from scratch of the entire driver package,
which no one ever does. Refactoring over many years, moreover,
will never be able to change FPS and performance so that it is not considered at the level of error.
-For NVIDIA, you don't need anything to have high FPS and stuff.
- It is a myth and a very big misconception that driver updates add FPS/performance.

-install; don't Restart.(Restart Later)
after installation go to the folder where the driver was extracted
search for; -NVIDIA(After Install)-DEBLOATING.CMD
RIGHT CLICK (RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR)
-Restart

I've got installed drivers version 473.47 with working UWP Nvidia Control Panel

Mighty fine! 473.47 is the latest security-fix-nvKepler driver for windows 10/11. You can also nvCleanstall it (the "Recommended" choice) and you'll have a leaner and spy-free, bloatware-less, driver.
