There must be a lot of people with money to burn if the card is selling out already.
It seems quite a few have their card already as the Futuremark site is getting hit with benchmarks from the GTX1080, Reference as well as Asus and EVGA cards.

I like Nvidia cards but that bench table is very misleading. Fury X is way better than a 980.

It may be in real-world gaming, but in the passmark 3d test Nvidia is on top for quite some time now.

And I was checking out the FTW - it's got a dual bios so i insist you switch to a modded BIOS (overclock.net is a good place to go) and see what clocks you get on 2 x 8 pin and a far higher power limit. Mid June for that card I think?

Yay for dual bios! Makes messing with the cards a lot more fun because you don't have to worry as much. Still though, wonder what other ones (besides the obvious classified and kingpin) will have that feature.

The FTW has it as well. Classified is triple, FTW is dual.

Idk.. It's nuts.. I paid less for a FTW card than a reference model...
It's like that trick they pull on your mind at the grocery store, when they hand you the receipt and say "You saved 17 dollars".. And you're like.. "Huh?" lol..

For me nicest GTX1080 and best for people who want to avoid hot ambient temps, as me.
I'm very interest for Hybrid model because all heat from GPU chip go out of case immediately throw tubes, radiator, fan and out.

3DMarks and other tests even with high temps will not show you real situation because in some moments graphic card work on same speed as in Youtube while in games constantly work on max boost and because of that temps made on benchmark table are completely something else than temps after 1h gaming.

AIO on GPU and AIO on CPU in exhaust configuration + 0 case fans better ambient temps than tower cooler + dual/triple custom graphic card and 5 case fans.
I will not open side panel any more and instead graphic card fans I will listen Gentle Typhoon on 1500 RPM and look in 60-65C on graphic card.

And I like this Power Link Adapter, give excellent option for cable magement. VGA cables are so close to rubber grommets that you can't see VGA cables at all.

My father sent me a link to the RX 480 and said 'what do you think?' Meanwhile we haven't spoken about GPUs since the Voodoo days. I doubt he has any clue about the new Nvidia cards.
What caught his eye was the claim of 480 being sold for $200

With the overhype of the 1080 soon to be wide spread debunked, the 1070 reviews popping up and the potential undercut by AMD with their Polaris products, I get the feeling now is too early to run out and buy a new GPU.

Q1 of next year seems like a good plan for some.

I prepare for new GPU this summer, my X99 platform need better GPU, at the moment I have GTX780Ti.
I would be happiest with GTX1080Ti Hybrid, but if I can't afford than GTX1080 Hybrid.
I have nice place on back side of case for 120mm radiator and 1-2 fans in push-pull in exhaust configuration.
My ambient temps will be amazing with AIO on CPU and AIO on GPU and all fans are on exhaust, no warm air inside case.
I think Gentle Typhoons on 1850 RPM are silent completely and move a lot of air for cooling radiator.
I expect amazing temps, something unseen except on custom loop.
Maybe this Power Link Adapter fit on all EVGA 8+8pin cards and could improve look of interior.
With him only 2 cm long VGA cable from rubber grommets is visible, maybe not even that..
First time graphics will look almost as they are not connected at all.
I only could imagine how much better will be 1080Ti than 1080. That will make me sad if I can't afford so nice graphic...
