i bet it'll pass..if it does, raise shader 54MHz and core till 0,5 of shader clock, exactly!

Finally someone posted more BIOS info..1.18v ! wtf ...can't imagine this is your stock GTX260 bios?

edit.. i really wonder what happened when gpu plastic off but i don't have enough time to try that in my country time is 23:10 i go to bed because i get up at 6 am

np mate, take your time and just COUNT the sheep ! :D

EDIT //

RE: "but precision tool monitor says 729/1458/2484" - you always go by oc tool , not your own input. no wonder ppl here got 800 on core....and couldnt run atitool or cod4..what DID he run??? EVGA OC tool??

lol, thats awesome oc in my thin book !!! Fix 24/7 stable airflow and your rig kicks GTX280 for half the price

Check the 260/280 thread!

I'm expecting poster to inform bios changes etc. To me it seems he just posted his bios, not downloaded modified bios and flashed the card with. but I have no idea.

Ran the bench with a slight OC, but it didn't lead to much of an improvement, so this is with stock clocks on the GPU. This card folds like crazy, though. ~7900 PPD. :rockout:

Have you attempted to mod your card? there is only one simple thing you need to do.

edit // soz, it clearly says "stock" :D nice score for stock !

your SM2 and SM3 scores are 'poor' for that total score, post again when they say 8100 and 8300 something. You got high total score coz of your Quad. I get less total with C2D 4GHz, but my GFX scores are 10-15% higher.

After all, this is GT200 series OC thread.

-------------------

756 core
1512 shaders
1242 mem

thats my max OC and I dont think these ever will gain.
Next shader freq is 1566MHz, I get BSOD in FurMark within half minute. I also tried lowering both core and mem (even tried to min MHz), no go - BSOD

Next mem freq is also giving me BSOD

Core clock ofcourse, I can't raise since it's at max 2.0 ratio

Card plays fine, temps have dropped some, and the ONLY issue I've had was in Crysis tweaked high/very hig @dx9 where game froze for 5-6 secs..np, it continued without driver stop responding error :D

I now wish this card came with 6pin + 8pin, 75W more to feed the beast. I have "only" 600W PSU, 580W max, and CPU @ 4GHz..maybe I'm running low on juice?

I noticed the same Triton.se, I just went from a Q6600 @ 3.6GHz and about 17K in 3dm06 with around 5k cpu and 7k-7.5k on GPU scores to 8-9K gpu scores and 4k CPU score and a higher overall 3dmark 06 score....with my new e8600 at 4.0.

E8600 is very nice :D But don't get fooled by standard 3DMark06 scores..this is at 1280x1024, when our oc'd gpu is HUNGRY/waiting/idle! for MORE, and 4.4GHz will provide more input=higer scores at 12x10 rez.

If you have registered 3DM06, run the oc tests at your own rez. I guess, with 75fps, cpu still has LOTS to give, but at 35fps, toss in a 2.4GHz and it still says 35fps.

I tweak alot, Crysis is the best to practice, I practically have very high visuals, with 48fps at 16x10 rez. Here cpu might do a differance.

I don't worry too much about benchmarks...they're more of a gimmick and OC verifacation than actual meaning. Doesn't mean I won't do a couple runs to see if I can get a higher score for shits and giggles if i'm in the right mood...but generally I OC some to see where I can get...turn it down to a level that I find is a good mix of OC/temps/performance and then this thing does nothing but web browsing and gaming. I leave all power saving features turned on for this reason...no sense in running full speed all the time if it's not being used and less power/speed is perfectly usable.

I hear a seasoned gamer :D :toast:

Hell yeah! :rockout:

I just got back into CoD4 MP...hadn't played for about 6 months. With the newer patches, extra maps, custom maps and mods I'm hooked all over again! :D

But I have quite a list of games, both that I'm playing, waiting to play, etc! Just wish I had a larger monitor to extract some of the true umph from this GTX lol! I know 1440x900 can do some stress...but in reality this thing would be so much happier with 1600+ resolutions! I'm sure I would too, but I gotta say at least the screen I have is good...the image is clear, crisp and my games look good and play silky smooth!

Delta of 22 in 1 pixel - ATiTool

I want ppl to take notes with atitool, when it goes "Delta of 22 in 1 pixel"- what are your experiences ?

My oc was at 756/1512/1215, and I didnt get this displayed in atitool. It's not an error but what IS IT ?

So, 756/1512/1224 ofcourse showed this "delta" stuff, and I lowered mem OC
I tried 756/1512/1242, same delta warning in atitool, but again furmark showed nada

I decided to run and ignore the delta warnings: runs good, worst issue was 5-6 sec hang in Crysis, leaving no nvidia error even

I had some comparisons with MSN Pal using GTX280

My TFT is 1680x1050, his is 1920x1200. I also have a 32" LCD to test 1080i on (1920x1080)

so, we compared my tweaked Crysis High/Very High, and my higher oc'd 260 constantly beat his 280. I always ran DX9, where he did DX10..dunno why, it differs 10-15% in fps there..anyhow, I setup my gear with 1080i and ran the test again:

I lost 20-25% from 1680x1050 to 19200x1080, 48fps to 41fps something.

I've spent long time tweaking a fully playable, very nice looking gfx for crysis, and that 24" would spoil it !

Anyways..thats Crysis...I'm sure other games at 19x12 show less fps loss ! ..ofcourse, it's insane having 1440x900, even my 16x10 is small, makes you oc yur cpu all the time !

pals 280 @ 19x12, np.....

edit // some rez figures and fps in crysis with my tweaked high/very high dx9 settings

1680x1050, noAA noAF - 48fps (35fps min) ... I tweaked this and ofcourse by play, not by bench..very nice play !!!
1680x1050, 4xAA no AF - 40fps
1680x1050, 2xAA 8xAF - 41fps ...actually played this also: not playable, 25-27fps often. DONT TRUST BENCH...
1920x1080 noAA noAF - 41fps (not so sure, but over 40)

Have you attempted to mod your card? there is only one simple thing you need to do.

nope, no plans with the oc i've got. lol 8800GTS 512MB was already good for 16x10,,,now i have some more speed + lot more POWER (4xaa)

nah, not keen on bios flashing atm

I noticed the same Triton.se, I just went from a Q6600 @ 3.6GHz and about 17K in 3dm06 with around 5k cpu and 7k-7.5k on GPU scores to 8-9K gpu scores and 4k CPU score and a higher overall 3dmark 06 score....with my new e8600 at 4.0.

Yeah, I was gettin 17,500 with a G92 GTS with my old quad........what you think of the E8600? I am toying with either one of them or a E0 stepping Q9550.....dont need a quad really tho, except for benching scores and of course I am a retired overclocker!
