GTX 260 VDDC Temps

Hello, I had a few questions about the GTX 260's VDDC Temperatures. What are the max they should ever run at? Also, Are they the sensors for the VRM's on the PCB?

Here's my overall temperatures after running FurMark for 10 Minutes or so.

Yes, it's the same temps in Vista and XP I triple Boot haha...On a side note, I also installed an aftermarket cooler =\ The Thermalright HR-03 GTX to try out

Mine are usually within a few degrees or less of the GPU temps under load, Furmark is the only program I've found that can run the VRM's a tad hotter than the GPU, aside from that gaming and folding, the VRM's are generally either equal to or up to 4-5C less than the GPU temps. I had this folding when I started, so my min temp is pretty weak, but it's only about 5C higher than normal, nothing to worry about when load temps are what matters. That HR-03GTX is a nice cooler, but I find the stock cooler is plenty for me and I like how it looks on the card overall with the complete shroud.

Here's my results for ya though! I'd find some better heatsinks for those VRM's tbh! Though I'm sure they can take that kind of heat!

EDIT: As far as your questions, I'm not sure what their max rating is, but the GPU itself I believe is rated for a max of 115C, so I'm sure the VRM's are around that, I know the VRM's on my ATI x1950 pro and xtx ran around 120+C under load, the newer HD series have similar hotter running VRM's that for the most part seem to be fine. And where the sensors are is a good question, not sure on that one but I'd like to know too!

Thanks alot, During most games they only hit like 40-65, FurMark is the only program so far that can push them higher haha


Edit, Ran Vantage, Crysis Benchmark, Far Cry 2 Benchmark and they only hit 64, 68 and 63

Woohoo, I got my temps down Removed the Thermal Pads on the VRM's and replaced it with some Arctic Cooling Mx-2.

Very nice results! Feel free to post your findings in the GTX 260/280 thread (link in sig), glad you got those temps down, I'm sure they'd be ok, but hey I would be the same way!
