Which driver is a better performer for my 8800GT 512? The 177.83 including physix or the modded G200 driver with seperatly downloaded physix?

On my 9800GTX, 177.83. All games run better, overclock more stable...and cos it is the same core - G92, I believe they will also be better for you as well.

177.83 caused driver not responding failures on all my systems, sooner or later. I had to roll back to 177.79 in order to get my systems stable again.

That's a bummer man..I installed the drivers from the NV site w/Physx on an 8800GT rig and it worked flawlessly. The only time I got driver not responding was a freeze during overclocking it!

That was expected tho!

Aside from that performance was good, he was content. Maybe next driver release(s) will be better for ya Mussels! :toast:

i get it on stock and OC'd on an 8800GT and 8800GTX, vista x64 w/ full aero and various games. Had it in UT3 and faces of war mostly - havent seen it since downgrading.

177.89 all the way worked very fine in my 8800GT FPS gained and more stability...

unfortunetely they havent released vista x64 drivers as of yet however its available in vista and xp x32 and xp x64

well im on the 177.92's and after 7 or 8 f$%^&n months i can finally have sli on vista x64

and they perform amazingly

I never had any problems with SLi in Vista until I yanked out my 9600s to test a 7900GS, since then I've been having trouble. I just took both my cards out and flashed by bios and gave Vista a clean installation. I'm hoping this will work.

Glad you guys got or are getting SLI sorted...I tend to steer clear of multi card stuff for my personal builds...install the damn game, crank shit up and go! But who can argue with the SLI performance your guys' cards can bring to the table? I just hope the "big bang" crap sheds some light for you guys that's worth-while.

I usually stay away from SLI as well, but I got one of these cards for free through an RMA.
As for the ass-kicking, they kicked ass back before the GTX200 cards came out

Now I'm considering selling them for a GTX260.

what do you mean by big bang and worth while? in all honesty i love SLI unfortunetely if you ask me 9800's dont scale very well even at 4.1Ghz however folding they are king so i keep them besides if i dont have 2 cards in my rig i get all sad because after you taste sli you never want to leave.
