hi everyone
i'd like to know your thoughts on this
i currently have gtx 460 sli (gigabyte oc 1gb)
today i got a hd 4890 2gb (vapor x) ... cheap

since the 4890 is quite cheap, would it be worth getting a 2nd 4890 2gb and sell the 2 gtx 460, would i get better performance? i may make some money and get better framerates and graphics.

my system: i7 920, x58 extreme, 12 gb, corsair 950w

thank u all for ur replies

Or you could try selling all 3 cards and buying gtx 570/580/6950 2g

The SLI'd GTX 460 1GBs would lead all those cards around by the nose. Keep what you have.

2GB of memory can make a difference in certain scenarios (very high res & maxed out settings) but only if the GPU is powerful enough to actually much such scenarios playable.

In the case of the HD4890 is it unlikely to be able to utilise the extra memory, it doesn't quite have the raw grunt to push the settings required to use it.

A Single GTX460 overclocked to 800/1600/4000 will be noticably (read: ALOT) faster than a HD4890 and two of them in SLI will walk all over HD4890 CF, 2GB or not.
