I have a feeling these, as least the 256-bit ones, are going to be to the GTX465 like the 9600GT was to the 9800GT. Same memory bandwidth, but with less shaders, giving very very similar performance.

and the 460 has higher clocks than 465 ... so performance difference will be very less ...

The cheapest 1GB card at $220 is clocked at 725MHz, and there's even one at 800MHz.

What the hell is the performance going to be?
I've heard something like a 5830. I'm about to pull the trigger and I feel like I am completely in the dark. I want to use the first one I get for now in a PC where I am aiming for max detail Directx 11 in Metro 2033 on my Sanyo PLV-Z5 projector at 1280 * 720p. I want a sustained FPS of over 30 FPS. I want no FPS dips less than 20 FPS if possible as it kills the impact of the awesome effects. In the future I will probably get another for SLI if it is warranted for 1080p and above for general gaming. I will get the 1 gig version that is overclocked since it costs only a few dollars more.
I know 720p is a "low" resolution but gaming at 80" when you are lying in bed is just so relaxing.
