GTX 460 issues

Guys I recently switched from ATI to Nvidia. I am pleased with my choice but when I play BC2 I have been crashing for no reason at all. The card runs cool and is not oc'd by me only by the company.

This is my card
ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP
I am running Win 7 64

Any suggestion or solution would be appreciated .

can you elaborate on the crashing aspect? does it drop from the menu, does it drop from in game?

if in game just it freeze/crash or just plop you back to dekstop?

if it is freezing does it require a reboot or just CTRL+ALT+DEL..

as a first suggestion I'd say run a 'driversweeper' program to get rid of all ATI+NV drivers, they're very easy to find, and reinstall WHQL nvidia drivers fresh.

Just crashes to desktop. The game will freeze for a second or just go to DT.

definitely try what I said with the driver sweeper and report back, also which ATi card did you have before the GTX460?

Does sound like an ATi to Nvidia problem. But there could be a hidden variable there also, do you have your CPU or the card overclocked?

Provided it's not driver conflicts......I'd say use Precision or MSI Afterburner to downclock the card and retest.....if it plays fine then return the card for a vanilla version....save yourself the coin and OC it yourself.

It was the drivers. I thought I got them all out but when I ran the cleaner there was a few stragglers. Thanks guy.

does it happen when you run any other games? BC2 has a lot of bugs still.

was just BC 2. I believe it is fixed now.

Ok guys I have tried numerous things and the crashing is still there. I uninstalled all of the drivers and popped in my old 4850 and it ran fine. The 460 continues to have crashing issues. Should I not install 3D vision drivers?
