edit 27th: not out as you can see and price should be $279

Price seems to be £30 more than cheapest HD 5850s available, if it holds. But it was supposed to be launched at Computex that starts June 1st  (unless that launch is GTX 460, as is GF104?)

I already read one guy getting GTX 465 in a GTX 470 box, so shouldn't be completely impossible
http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/737351-my-galaxy-gtx-470-gc-identified.html

Will be awesome if it comes out next week and even better if it can compete with 5850. More cards=better prices (maybe).

Anyhow, it can't be sold for £260 for long, as cheapest GTX 470 is already £282. Hopefully it will drop soon or launch at much lower price

Not really...
The 5830 is faster than a GTX 285 in vantage, but you know in real games it is less than spectacular :ohwell:

Yep, 10778 GPU score with that Galaxy and I got GPU: 10905 with my late GTX 280 stock.

Game test 1 is faster, but gametest 2 is slower. I got 32/31fps and 465 is 34/28.

Weird, guess that leaves out GTX 465 for me, no way I'll pay more for a card that performs the same. But it has 8800GT worth of shaders more than a GTX 280, something iffy going on with drivers, if they can't get more performance out of there.

GTX 465 benched

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=4396529&postcount=111

Now NVIDIA has a fail card like ATI with 5830, although recent price drop of 5830 made it ok I think.

It's GTX 275/280 with DX11 and higher price, whii.. Should have hold on to my GTX 280 and sold it on June with "GTX 465 performance with cheaper price!" :) They really need to sell this at 5830 price and it's a winner, unless release drivers do miracles.

I would say it'd compete fairly with ATI's 5830's not the 5850's

I'd avoid the 465 as well, because for a bit more there are good cards available from both camps.
Either the 470 or 5850 both offer strong performance for the money.

when can we expect these gtx 465 in online shops..?

Next month. Now there is driver suppor, new beta's (257.15) got GTX 465, so it could be released.
NVIDIA_DEV.06C4.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 465"

As for the coming out before computex, have to wait and see. Now it's monday and not available yet :)

Also here's another confirmation

A few questions... - Will this card be expensive? If it is, then will it be worth the extra dollars? What card in ATI's GPU line up does the GTX 465 stack up against? Just wondering, thanks.

agreed... hell my OC'd 260 216 gets 11500 GPU score :/

Not only that but a stock 470 doesnt beat a gtx 285 by a huge ton at stock - even in games (they do OC like monsters though).

Unless it unlocks to a 470, this card won't do terribly well. Its an overpriced mid range card lol.

No idea on the price, OP link speculated price will be expensive (close to GTX 470), but performance just above 5830.

But new drivers are rumoured to come soon, this is what those Beta's bring got GTX 400. So release date performance will be better than show on those early benches.

10k in GPU score. It's as fast as GTX280...

But I can get a 280 for £50 - £60 less :( So best these prices come down a bit, however, the 5830 is overpriced and I am guessing this is actually direct competition for that not the 5850 so both camps have overpriced parts now..... the 5850 still remains for me the best bang for buck (just). If 470 prices do come down a bit though in the next month and ATi dont respond, that could change however.

Less shaders, less heat, more overclock headroom. That doesn't surprise me.

did you click that link and look at the numbers that guy benched? we can't be forsure that he was legit bout it, but it looks really reasonable to me. I hope performance numbers are more like that with WHQL drivers.

You can see the performance increase from the second link in the OP. 10830 to 11552 GPU score with 275.15.

Would be a fun "little" thing to play around, if it just were cheaper. But it isn't even out yet, so have to wait and see what happens with price. Either way they'll have them ready to be shipped right away, unlike say HD 5850 that still can't be bought over 6moths after the release :ohwell: (yes there are overpriced ones in stock)
