GTX 470 TIM replacement, Afterburner, 470 SLI temps

Owners who've replaced TIM are apparently seeing measurable temp drops. The cooler design puts the GPU at your disposal without having to mess with pads! Nice..

Very nice to see Afterburner support. Mild OC's with a good fan profile, even without a TIM replacement.. lower temps?

Update:
I just finished replacing the TIM on my new 470's with AS5. I'm running Afterburner with a good fan profile and 3D clocks @ 650/1300/1700. Compared to what I've seen in reviews, I'm happy with my idle and load temps! Remember, this is w/ SLI:

I rocked 2 in sli w/ a 275 for physx and my top 470 idled at 70. I have to change the tim immediately.

I was thinking of replacing the TIM but was worried about those stupid pads! Thanks for pointing this out

My 470 has been staying pretty cool though, but in the long run it will be worth it to replace the TIM...

dont worry about the pads they are easy to reuse,they are not the flakey cloth type ones
