Will do the 470 looks very good. I got one before they sold out, in like 5 minutes, now do I keep it or sell it.

I was considering buying the 470, all OOS now. Guess its best to wait and see how they hold up and perform for everyone else first.

Dammit, gone already! I did see a 470 in stock.. If I'm going to go with a big hot card, it might as well be the 480. Reviews on the 470 weren't as nice either.. Well trt, I got me a new bios on my 5850, maybe we can have a "card off" "showdown" "hoedown" or whatever you want to call it. lol.

I cancelled it after reading all the fan noise problems so look for a evga 470 gtx back in stock here shortly. Wow!! it was in stock after I cancelled for about 15 seconds lol!!! I think I will get a Asus 5850 or 5870 after the prices drop next week. I will get a non ref cooler because I hate loud ass fans.

You should buy it and use the 5850 for your main with modded drivers and the 480 for PhysX, just so you can say you did it.

Tom, just be aware that all of the current non-reference cards have non-reference PCB. That means no voltage control and limited overclocking. I almost pulled the trigger on a Power Color 5850 PCS+ last month, but I did a bunch of research first, and found that the PCS+, the Sapphire Toxic, Vapor-X cards and one of the XFX cards have no voltage control.

I hate hard mods. Guess I'm not as willing to risk destroying hardware as I was when I was younger.

Can I bring my 5970s to the partahy?

Y'know, I'm a bit shocked by these price points. nVidia doesn't seem to be gouging like they normally do, they brought them in right around the price of the 5870s . . . price : performance, the 480 would be the better deal.

I'll bet ATI drops the price of the 5800 within the next week (although, I'll bet the 5970's price will remain the same).

I asked the guys at Danger Den, if they were going to make a block for the 470. The answer was yes and will be available in 2 weeks. So you can get a 470 with a DD copper or nickel(or mixed) block for the price of a 480.. Here is another pic of the 480 block. Pure awesome sauce.
