Well, instead of what I originally planned, I found a 7970 3GB DirectCu II on sale for $400. I figured that would be a better buy since it's much quieter, performs about the same, and clocks like a dream.... or so I thought. ASUS doesn't allow you to overvolt on a card that has beefed up VRMs and their custom cooling solution :shadedshu. Although, I'm hitting 60FPS with all my mods and ENB settings on Skyrim at 1125 on the core, so I'm content.
I'll bet it's nice and quiet, though.
