adata spectrix 2x8 3200 MHz
msi b450 tomahawk max
psu bequiet 600w system
ssd samsung nvme 970 1tb

808% TDP is a miniature nuclear reactor. Pretty sure card has some issues.

So damaged and nothing can be repaired?
Well, first off quit using furmark.

Secondly, do a clean reboot and bench a game and see where it sits.

Most definitely a bug in GPU-Z, it would probably melt if the values would be real. I would try a slight overclock if it affects the core clock, and yeah, I wouldn't use Furmark.

Reinstalling the drivers would be the next thing if that won't help.

I tried overclocking the card but no changes. I installed different versions of the drivers, no changes

Likely wrong/corrupted VBIOS.
I did not change the bios version. I checked if it was a different version, but only found one that fits this card

currently trying, but image links are no longer active

OK guys. I installed a modified version of the bios result - no changes. installed from asus and 800. I installed the bios from gigabyte 650ti boost and tdp dropped to 300. in any case, my clock is still at 324 mhz and I do not want to move even in msi afterburner nothing changes.

Double-check TDP with GPU Shark (in detailed mode) to either rule out or confirm a GPU-Z issue.

I wonder if you can grab and upload that bios for someone here to see what's going on.

I installed this version of the bios on the card. without modification because I do not know what values to set. I tried vbios from other 650ti boost cards and everyone else gave a lower tdp than the one from Asus

I tried increasing the core clock in msi afterburner - no change. Tried DDU and installing older versions of the driver - no changes. I tried the NVIDIA inspector - the gpu memory could change, but the gpu core clock wouldn't change. The card still remains at 324mhz

I installed this bios version at the end. The same was on the card by default.

looks like the power sensor(Shunt) is broken. ("The card still remains at 324mhz") looks like a safe mode. just when you shunt mod a more modern card and go too crazy and the GPU goes down to 300 Mhz and locks itself since it has no idea whats going on.

normally you short them or add a current cap to reduce the TDP read out.

but if it's faulty it may has a too low resistance (or even a short) it might measure insane amounts
Tomorrow I will disassemble the card and post photos on the forum because it's already 0:24 AM

Before, I had an RTX 2060 in this computer and there were no problems until I went to the rma because of the artifacts. This gtx was in the drawer as a backup card. I tried to install Windows from scratch but it also didn't work.

as a first step (since this is a pretty old and cheap card)
i'd clean the whole PCB with IPA and a toothbrush.
if it does not change anything you can bridge the shunts with liquid metal for example.
but i don't think that it's worth the hassle for a 650 Ti tbh.

I cleaned the entire card with a brush. I am just wondering if it makes sense to spend so much time with it or buy another one

i'd just buy a new card instead.
if you get your hands on liquid metal in the future.. bridge the two shunts and the card should have "unlimited" power.

thank you all for your help then. The topic can be considered finished. After work, I'll go to the store for a new card.

Currently on the card is Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. As for the liquid metal, I already let it go and ordered another card

I have no experience to modify the bios to do it to lower the tdp. Since the sensor is damaged, as it was written above, it is not worth saving even this card with liquid metal.

Odd how the chip variant number is semi erased on the chip, it's almost like all the fakes we see.

I understand, but I had this card in old computers and it worked properly, now it was in the drawer for about 2 years. After inserting into the computer I noticed something wrong with it in msi afterburner clocks in place

It could just have worn out after all these years when the chip has been cleaned etc., I've seen it as well on few cards myself.
