After playing a game aprx. 15 minutes in case of gpu load 99 percent, gpu temp goes to 67C degrees. In that situation my screen freezes with lots of white squares in it. then crashes to destktop.

In my opinion 67C degrees isn't so hot for such a card called amp. Any problem with my card? Pls share your ideas. Here is the info after the crash...

My system:
MSI Z77 GD65 motherboard
Ripjaws 8GB Ram 1600MHZ
Seagate Baracuda Sata 3 64MB 1TB HDD
Zotac GTX 680 AMP
Cooler Master HAF 912 plus GX 750W PSU

I haven't seen the card temperature as 70C to 74C yet, max=68C-69C. Here is the crash picture:

Is it very close to 15 minutes each time? or sometimes 5 sometimes 20?

I assume it is not just Saints Row also right?

It could be a connection issue, reseat the card. I would also uninstall and reinstall the drivers, also try a version other than the one you are using (preferrably previous)

I would guess that it was drivers. If changing the drivers don't do anything I would try underclocking the card. If it still does it then you might have a defective card. Do other games do this?

Try downloading MSI Afterburner and setting a custom fan speed setting just to see if it is a TEMP problem.

MSI Afterburner works fine on my XFX 8600 GTS and my HIS 2600 XT. If you're going to troll maybe you should be doing it in general nonsense...

Hi you must be new here.

Anyway from the GPUZ screenshot the core boost clock is about 1190 but Zotac states that it should be around 1170. It might be just on the edge but that small overclock could be the cause of the instability

It is made for MSI cards yes BUT the manufacturer has said it could be used for other cards but support for anyone other than MSI is not available. With that being said, I have only had one card that MSI after burner would not work with and that is my Sapphire 6950 out of every card I have ever owned.

I wonder what the power draw total is on that 750w PSU. I would think that would be good enough for a high end, then again it all depends on what else he might have connected.

I have 2x 5750s on a 650w, and haven't run into any problems unless I overclock.

Yes you can. Just like sapphire trix, and evga precision. they will work on different manufacturers but not supported the developers.

Most cards are based on one style of circuitry and use the same line of voltage regulators. This allows the software to change voltages and freqs on click. Since the cards are based on the same layout circuit then the program will work. The only thing MSI and others have done is made it were you have to check mark unofficial overclocking to use on other manufactured cards. But as they have said, its use are your own risk.

Zotac mite state its ment to be 1170 but not all cards has the same boost i've been over this on the EVGA forums both my cards boost to different top end clocks 1st card boost is 1084 while 2nd is 1123 when both cards run the same bios.

I tried some of the drivers but it doesn't fix, not only the saints row, it happens in all game:banghead: Sometimes crash happens in beetween 30min-1hour. New driver let the fan work faster speed appr. 2010 rpm.. I can try another pci slot for reseating.

Thanks

I've no idea about underclocking the card. All games which are working ultra settings in 1920x1080 do this shit..:banghead:

At last I've found a solution: By using msi afterburner I decreased gpu memory clock speed. After that problem disappeared:D Many thanks to everybody:toast:

Your memory clock seems high. Could you lower it to the range of 1550~1600 MHz and check for the same artifacts?

^Looks like I'm late.
