I want to get a maxed out mid 2012 MacPro for a Pro Tools DAW. This machine must run Mountain Lion OS 10.8 to be compatible with my hardware. Will the EVGA GTX 780 graphic card work with this machine. Better yet, will the GTX 980 be compatible too.

If if the graphics card is sold as or marketed as a mac specific card then it will be fine. Otherwise other graphic cards just won't work due to mac needing a special bios on their graphics cards to run
