Hi!
I have an EVGA GTX 970 and I bought it used... it's quite worn out, as if the pins on the board were really worn out, anyway... something similar happens to me too, when I play some heavier games, which may demand more, the video signal disappears (the audio keeps coming out for a while) and then everything stops and the monitor keeps blinking but it doesn't come back, even if I restart the video drive with shift+ctrl (I forgot the complete command now).. anyway , but then it stopped doing that, I realized that it was when I removed a cooler fan and cleaned the whole board, I applied a new thermal paste, etc... and then I played for a long time without the board turning off... oh, recently I put a new aircooler on the processor and a cooler and the board started talking again. My PSU is only 500W, I bought a new one of 650W and I'm going to test it yet..but I think it's the board itself, worn out..I'm going to change the power supply (waiting for it to arrive) and if not, I'm going to change the thermal paste and clean it again... I won't remove my coolers anymore... if nothing solves it, just a new one.

My CPU SPEC now :

Motherboard TUF GAMING A-520M PLUS

Ryzen 5 3600 with Aircooler Cooler Master

RAM DDR4 16 (2x8GB) 2666mhz

EVGA GTX 970 Gaming

SSD 512GB

HDD 1TB
HDD 500 Mb
HDD 320 Mb

PSU EVGA 500w White Plus

2 Monitor

1 1920x1080 @75hz

2 Cooler Fan Chassi

2 1920x1080 @60hz

I mean a 970 paired with a 3600 shouldn't be impacted by a 500w PSU regardless, unless it's a really really s----y decade old PSU that's opera, nvm even then shouldn't be a problem. Even the 980 was 165w. The 3600 is a 65w CPU right? Somehow I doubt those HDDs are using a couple hundred watts though, what is it like 20w per HDD? I can't remember.

Hello my dear, I believe you are correct. Before, I was using the 970 on an i3 with the same current source, and the same problem happened, the video would turn off in some games. I'm waiting for a new power supply to arrive to clear up the real doubt, if the problem is in the power supply or if it is in fact in the 970 (despite the fact that it stopped giving problems when I removed a cooler and, as incredible as it seems) before, I didn't even use a program overclocking, but I used GPU Tweek II, even without modifying anything and the card was holding. I put new coolers and switched to GPU Tweek III and the problem came back, anyway... I'll let you know when I have news.

I changed the PSU to a Corsair 650w, the problem continued.

I did a memory test in GPUMemTest and it showed an error.

Error 5250: Error waiting command queue to finish copyBlocks kernel!
end execution
