Bought a gtx 980ti about a year ago, used on ebay. Been fine until a couple weeks ago when its starting black screening in games 5 mins into the menus, right after i updated the drivers to 398. I have been trouble shooting for over a week and can't find what is wrong with it. It is for sure the 980ti as i have put a different GPU in my system and in no blackscreens, I have also put the 980ti in a different system and it has black screen that system too. The system even black screens in games like CS:GO with about 20-30% GPU usage, but not in stress test [GPU-Z] or rendering large projects in blender where the GPU usage is at 90-100%. Any help/suggest on what to do, or what it could be would be appreciated.

I have :

Stopped overclocking all components.

Under-clocked / Under-volted my GPU.

Cleaned / Re-installed thermal paste

Monitored temps. (GPU/CPU < 70°c)

Uninstalled GPU drivers.

Installed latest GPU drivers.

Reinstalled previous versions of GPU drivers.

Test GPU in different system

Flashed GPU bios

Reset Windows.
