gtx card upgrade advice

I don't know anything about video cards today so help me out here, im about to upgrade my motherboard to the ASUS H87-PLUS and the i5 4670 haswell and need a new video card for it.

so im trying to judge things based off of what I have right now in my old system, I just don't know which card is better then the other except to look at cuda cores and series numbers

right now I have whats in my specs

EVGA 01G-P3-1366-TR GeForce GTX 460 SE (Fermi) 1GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

and im thinking about getting the

EVGA 02G-P4-3753-KR GeForce GTX 750 Ti Superclocked 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Video Card

but how much of an upgrade will it be over what I have now? I want the equivalent quality of video card today that my 460 was back in 2009

I only want NVIDIA and I have $125- $175 max budget to spend on it. so whats the best card I can get today for this budget? please don't suggest anything in the $200's, I cant afford them.

the 750 Ti has 1GB more ram and 352 more cuda cores but what is the noticeable difference going to be when going from 256-bit back to only 128-bit card or will there be one?

also I wont be doing any overclocking of it or any sli or multiple card setups, I never needed more then just one card for what I do.

Pretty minor upgrade. A gtx750ti is only about 30% faster that a gtx460. You should probably save up for a gtx760 (twice as fast a gtx460) but its your choice.

760 would definitely be the one to get, if you can't afford it, save your money.

As others suggested the 760 should be better but considering your budget the 750ti is the best for your money. Low power consumption and nice performance.
If $175 is your max budget dont even think about it just buy the 750ti.

ok guys, well if its not much of an upgrade then i'll wait for the 760's to come down to my price range.

hopefully when the new 800's come out they will cut prices on the 700's

i'll just keep what I have for now then, thanks everybody for the help

I agree. I had 2 EVGA SC GTX 460 1GB SLI and went to 2 EVGA GTX 760 2GB SLI and my 2 GPUs make a GTX 780 Ti or R9 290X look like turtles
in comparison.
