Yup i agree.

Gf1000 series you cant do that on let alone modify the bios file, not even you can do that on Vega.
I looked and all files have same power limits.

If he truly wanted a board that can be intetnally tuned by the bios he should of bought a RX580.

He is stuck and might aswell trade off to a RX 580Vega 56/64, 1070/Ti/1080/Ti, 2060/2070...

Always was dangerous, but it was a big deal 15 years ago with the ATI 800/850 series, now it is just an idiotic and somewhat risky waste of time.

It started when bioses became signed and hence could no longer be edited.

You could actually get fairly huge OC gains as recently as Maxwell.

I think Vega 64 bios also benefited Vega56 as well by raising the power limit. I still would not recommend it.

I'm not an expert on AMD bioses but had heard they were signed.

Regarding bios stuff it's really a case of requiring skill. It's not for the feint of heart. If you can't cook, get out of the metaphorical kitchen, heh.
