Hi Every one!

I have a little question,

Is there a GTX460 that support 3-Way SLI?

Thank you.

well its not impossible any nvidia gpu setup can work in sli without the sli bridges but theres a performance drop that said ive never seen it done but thats not say it cant. Its one of those i dont know if anyones tried it or not situations. That and if the performance gain is worth it or not as no sli bridge on higher cards causes performance loss. Would be interesting to test tho

maybe so but that hasnt really stopped people before most likely its a driver lvl limitation that could be removed but i dont have the 1337 skills needed

then again ill go out on a limb and say the OP dosent have the skills either so its a moot point, but in situations like this its a driver lvl limitation nothing more as even gtx 285 tri sli scales without a sli bridge so my guess is the 460s would do well if a edited driver was released that allowed it.

but eitherway 2x 460s overclocked should be more then enough performance 3 cards is almost never worth the cost as scaling drops off pretty damn bad at that point in the performance/price ratio department

Guys i found this: http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=25444

The SPARKLE GeForce GTX 460 series Graphics Cards supports NVIDIA 3-way SLI technology, which provides even higher frame rates and permits higher quality settings for the ultimate experience in PC gaming when connected to a high-end, high-resolution monitor.3nd Generation PureVideo

I think its a typo. Sparkle's site doesn't say a word about TRI-SLI, and to run it correctly the cards need two SLI tabs on them. The 460s only have one.

Well Zotac designed the GTX460 X2 card, with an SLi connector on it, allowing for Tri or Quad-SLi, but I don't know if it actually works in those configurations yet.

Also, I swear I saw a news article that had a GTX460 with 2 SLi connectors allowing for Tri-SLi, and I'm almost positive it was from Galaxy, but I can't find the news article.

Not such thing a 3 way SLI with 460s; nice if there was though as three of the 1gb oc gigabyte 460 cards would really run well together and not only that I have a nice 3-way SLI bridge which would be used now if that was the case.

There is, however, such thing as Quad-SLI with 460s which is only available with 2-way SLI together two X2 graphics cards (simply a two in one graphics card and would usually have twin GPU) such as Zotac's GTX 460 X2 or Galaxy's GTX 465 X2, but they have not been released as of yet since both sides are having difficulties making a cooling solution for the cards.

Now you mention 3-way SLI with GTX 460s I once remembered someone of the forums saying something about have two 460s and a 470 together in 3-way SLI and the reason they work together, despite the model difference, is because they are in reference with each other; although even I have doubts that such a thing is possible.

That would be the closest thing I know about 460s being in 3-way SLI together, although I really don't know if it is true.
