It's not entirely finished, but I gotta show you this!

Would you believe me if I told you this is my very first custom water loop build?

Well you'd probably believe me as this project is not complete yet. Case not even closed up, missing sleeved cables and some fittings half installed.

This is still me finishing up on making sure the loop fits. Then I'll polish everything.

I've already done some interesting LED "mods" which I think will just make the whole thing look dang beautiful

The bend from Res to CPU is going to cause issues once the tube gets up to water temp. You may want to think about using anti-kink spring. Otherwise looking good!

It looks like hard tubing...he probably isn't going to have any issues unless the liquid hits a temperature that will cause way more issues that a tube deforming

Just pointing out potential issues. If his tubing hits high enough above ambient it could collapse or pinch. Not sure what his ID/OD is though so might not be an issue.

What cdawall said. No issues when using PETG like the OP is. If it were conventional tubing sure, but it isn't.

Nice build!

Might be the camera angle but I would suggest that you double check the top fitting near the flow meter, it looks like it might be cross threaded (see pic below)

Must have looked at that image five or six times, never saw it. Now that you point it out, that is not a good angle to see. Definitely something not so good there!

With such radiator, water cool the GPU lol! :D

To answer some of your comments including the one I quote here:

Gpu cooling of course would make sense, but I was too scared to do both cpu and gpu for my first attempt at water cooling. Plus I had mostly aesthetic ambitions for this build more than the actual performance (well a mixture of both actually)

Also thank God, thank the gracious heavens I did not include the gpu! Because guess what? The flipping pcie riser cable (LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ALL THOSE INTERESTED IN the core p5 thermaltake case) is total crap. The ones that comes included with the case does not, I repeat and I can't insist enough DOES NOT support high bandwidth and is cheaply made. I'd say from the looks of forums (see owners threads all over the Web) 50% owners run into trouble with the cable (no image, doesn't work, unstable, performance loss)

So..... I had to buy a premium quality cable, because the whole point of this case is to show off your GPU in vertical position and of course, TT don't care if the cable doesn't work. Since when do they care about their customers... Ayayaye. From their aluminum based rads, now this...

So yeah, imagine if I had my whole coolant and loop closed with gpu in it. I would have had to dissemble, drain, just to deal with the stupid cables.

Plus honestly, the gains from water cooling a gpu (noise wise) are minimal

To answer the other comments. As you might have noticed, this is far from finished (well close)

I've got sleeved cables coming in (much much better looking than the ones in the picture) plus those fittings, some of them don't have their other half on.

I'm still just quick fitting things out, to see if things line up. Those tubes (most) are not chamfered yet.

This is indeed PETG hard times. No fears of temps here. Well not where I live (Canada)

Plus the OD is 16mm
ID I think is 12mm

Oh and the double thread thing
The flow indicator supports g4 male
And it's threaded OD seems much bigger than 16mm. Can't get my second half of fittings to fit in there.

So no choice to have both the black receiver (included with flow indicator) plus a complete bitspower enhanced multi link Adapter fitting on there too

nice work man!
I don't like that flow piece, it looks cool n all but for me its just more fittings. IMHO just look at the rez and you'll know, unless it has a wire that can shut it down? what coolant will you use? For them lime green colors id use anti freeze and some distilled water, not sure it will work with PETG. also i have had some plastics spider wed cause of the anti freeze.

GREAT JOB THOUGH!!!!

I'll be using mayhem green uv with distilled water ya

The flow indicator was definitely just for the looks. Once I started looking where to put it is when I noticed I could totally do without, but I thought "heck, I paid for it, it'll probably look good, I'll give if a shot"

That might be true, but the extended amount of tubing decreases head pressure. Probably not so terrible, but it'll result in a 1-5c temp increase most likely.

I do like it, and the curves, but like my previous comment, although 90 bends might affect flow rate, it doesn't affect it as bad when you're bending solid tubing. It's not a 90 like a fitting is(that affects flow a lot).

I do give you props for going with solid tubing for your first build though. It can be really hard to work with for even advanced builders. So far looks great!

I'll agree with that, but being that there's no heat being dumped into the loop by one, two or three graphics cards, I'd say I really have nothing to worry about.

After delidding the CPU, to make sure it wasn't dead from the procedure, I did a few prime 95 test runs (on air with a cooler master 212 AIR cooler)

I was getting 52 degrees under heavy load after 1 hour (blend test) and around 70 degrees for small ffts. That's using coollaboratory liquid ultra on the die

Those numbers are already MUCH better than my test prior to delidding (84 blend test and 92c ffts)

So I'll water that under this quad rad water cooling loop, I'll get same or better than those air temps. So win win

1-5C difference because of his specific tubing runs???????????? No.. just No.

Anyway, nice build there man, well done!
