From what ive seen on some forums and threads, some people have modded there H50 water coolers for the better look and sometimes better performance.
Right now just to get this strait, i know this voids the warrenty, i know this will make it were i have to refill the loop, and i KNOW that fungi and damage might occure in the loop, and im fine with those risk.

BELOW is the parts im planning on buying to at least get started on this loop, i have a RES, the tubing, tubing coils, fittings for the RES, some tygon 1.4" ID hose, and some feser anti corrosian fluid.

Im going to be going out and buying a bottle of FIJI or lifewater that is partical free so im using distiled water for the loop, and nuking it with feser anti corrosive.
My first question is, Should i use wire ties to close the loop on the barbs from the ressy to the pump to the radiator, or should i spare out a little more coin for some clamps from frozencpu.com

My second question is the pump on this corsair H50/astec rename runs at 1400 RPM on 12v 24/7 inclosed SO could it have enough power to add a second 120mm radiator to the loop using the same corsair H50 pump or will it over stress the pump and potentually fry the main part of the lube?

The plant looks to be for me to find a swiftech or blackice 2x120mm radiator, a radbox, and everything else included in the above list, :D~!

It seems to me like more trouble than it's worth on something that's meant to be self contained. Why not just go totally custom WC?

Because getting a CPU Block and radiator would cost an extra 60+ dollars at least, and if i was going full custom id be buying a 40+ dollar high rated cpu block and a 240mm rad with a radbox in the back.

The truth is i have no money, for any of these parts but i could reboot my forsale thread to scroung some more cash for things. I might make desperate and start a WTB thread of used watercooling parts For free and i might pay shipping :/

ahh, the money factor. I see. Good luck with the project then. What kind of temp drops can this gain you?

Its mainly going to be for a test begining loop, setting it up, and then i might add another 120mm radiator to the mix to drop the q9550 load temps and maybe run 4.3Ghz 24/7 with 50c or below temps stress testing :D

I think the 1400 rpm corsair/astec pump would be strong enough to handle another 120mm rad in the loop.

opposed to buying/finding another 120 rad my suggestion is buy/find a 2X120 rad it will stress the pump less. I dont think it would stress the pump to much either way also zip ties work fine for tubing hell I dont even use anything just straight bars and hose never had a leak never once. but better safe than sorry. my honset suggestion is save and scrounge for a custom kit but I understand the itch so if you cannot go with the parts you have and if you get another rad get the swiftech 2X120mm or black ice stealth 2X120 rad both are cheap

asetek has a model with a 2x120MM rad and one with a pair of 120mm rads that use the same pump its a good little pump and should be able to handle the extra load.

check around and i bet there is a mod to make it a higher RPM pump.

So what i should do, is go save up, buy a radbox and a 2x120mm rad that about 30-40 dollars, then go ahead use the same resivour and tubing with barbs to setup the loop and just use the corsair pump for asthetics.

And also if you guys can help me on finding a voltmod or something of some sort for the corsair H50/astec pump that would be very nice :D

you could disable the pump and order a cheap MCP350 off the forums and mod it to a 355 it wont be anymore than $20-30 that a res and you 120mm rad should hold for a while

instead of hanging it off the back you can buy some 120mm radmounts for the CD drive pays and mound it at the front.

Basicly that would be everything i would need to get the loop running in tip top shape?

The rad, radbox, RES, tubing, Barbs, Tubing spring, Feser anti corrusive, and thats it i could have the loop in no time?

***EDIT*** I could hang it in the front but id be filling all the space up with wires, fans, drives, and maybe some hidden items.

I might go ahead and buy a Pump, Radiator, Resivour all in one rad for 60 dollars, then a rad box for 20 dollars and a block for 40 dollars and it be full costum T_T.

We will see.

I'll be following this, make sure to update us. If this works as well as it should will have a small legion of H50 owners following suit, me thinks.

way to much money to put on that cheap pump block. find the parts on the forums and you could build a full custom loop with a new block as well

Well if i were going to go fully costum with good parts i would need to spend as much money as i spent on my itouch at best buy. Ill see what happens and how this progresses. Ill probably reboot my forsale thread and see how everythings going :D.

figured you would like that you could even sell the corsair for $40 or so and not break $100 on getting full water
