half decent budget board for e5200 or e7300

hi all im upgrading my old p4 and wanted to know if anyone can give me any ideas to a budget motherboard for either an e5200 or an e7300.

which cpu would you guys choose out of those 2 i just listed and what speed ram would be best for them?

Look at motherboards from asus, gigabyte or DFI with the P45 chipset.

800Mhz or 1066Mhz would be fine for either CPU - the more the better (id go 4GB of 800Mhz over 2GB of 1066, for example)

Just look for some PC6400 Cas Latency 4 ram that is rated at 2v or some PC8500 Cas Latency 5 ram rated at 2v. Crucial 2x2GB red Tracer kits are very very nice.

Check your crossthread. I linked a few nice P45 boards over there. If your into an SLI nForce board, make sure you get anything nForce 7X0i. I do suggest the MSI P7N Platinum as it has a great bios for people who are just starting into overclocking. Although if wanting to learn how to properly overclock, DFI Biostar or Asus has always been a great choice as they have an extensive bios.
