Me first C2D setup, but i've bin oc'ing for quite a long time now. Very please with this chip, hunted down a week 25 b2 e6300 - and here's my reward :D

Im running the following:

gigabyte ds3 - original bios, heatsinks, everything.
E6300 L625 Stepping B2
2x1GB Corsair XMS2 PC6400 (5-5-5-12, not the goodie good stuff :rockout: )
Bfg 7900GT
Highpower 500w psu (46a @ 3 12v lines !!!)
6.4GB UDMA66 5400 rpm drive.... dont ask :shadedshu .
36x cdrom.... ditto.
Crapload of fans :D
Aerogate 3
Mobo tray from project nsanepc (http://www.xtremepc.org/forum/t1491-project-nsanepc-the-worklog.html and http://www.xtremepc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2590)

First off, this is all on the retail heatsink. I popped the fan off and used my own setup as seen below :nutkick:

Current oc on that setup - 3.47 ghz @ 1.3325 prime stable (vfsb +.3; vmch +.3; vdimm +.3 495fsb (x2) x 7) :pimp:, 3.57 postable but bsods on windows startup. This is all on stock mind u, with some fans.

Absolute MAX'd fsb so far - 530mhz superpiable. Doesnt even post above that :O - gonna get the f7 when i get a loppy drive :D

Ok, here are some screens at 3.43 ;D

16MS superpi ftw!!!

Hehe. 31000 mflops. The conroe xtreme x6800 which is like 1300 bucks right now - 26000. Cold. Just cold.

Old ram result, at 490fsb 6-8-8-20. The above superpi is at 490/6-5-5-12

But the 6.4 gb 5400rpm hdd just embarrases the whole rig. Good thing my 2x160gb sata's are flying in this instant!

Thats about it for my oc adventure.
PS: The e63+ds3+ram were bought for 400USD shipped.
PS: For next time, ima post my results with my water setup which im assembling (all has arrived) - D5/TDX/Maze4 Chipset/BIX 3x120/1/2"ID/Primoflex/3x120mm 135cfm 45db fans :respect:

With 530 fsb, im already almost guaranteed 3.7ghz.... with a new bios.... :pimp: Voltmod for ds3 planned of course...

Thats it, i gtg sleep, enjoy and marvel :p

Not enough space on disk to install ANYTHING else. Oh well lol the real scores come when my water is up, at which point the mch is getting a voltmod, which should boost the fsb some, a new bios - some more, and possibly, POSSIBLY, might trade these babies for some c4+cash.
But the beauty of it man - 3.5 @ 1.3325 !

you should get a northbridge cooler maybe if your gonna go for max oc on one of these suckas, I read a review where he got a 10mhz fsb bump from better cooling his NB, the NB gets hot hot, but it looks like your doing ok cooling... he hit 3.9+ with a big typhoon 8O.

Bud, i have as5 on that baby, and 400cfm worth of air blown on it. It never goes up above 30c. I've hit 530mhz fsb before, so im kinda set for 3.7-8 ghz, but for above that im obviously gonna need a new bios and some more voltage.

Also, read the whole thread. When i really start oc'ing - when my water goes on, the chipset is gonna have a maze4 block on top :D
