Actually it can get 90+ (F) degrees here in the summer, and in a house without air conditioning the heat sucks.

In the winter the house stays around 70-75F.

It was 105-115F in the house for most of the summer. Outside temp isn't bad, but this house I live in downright sucks.

i've had my 360 elite ever since december 27th 2007 and it hasn't died on me yet i'm pleased with it to live this long

my first one I got died in about 1 year, bought another one because they didn't have the extra warranty yet, then my next one died in like 2 years then I got it sent back to microsoft and they sent me back a dud basically, sent that one back ad now im on my current 360 which I had to just xclamp.

typical weather in texas in the summer is 99-115 and maybe low 90s at night
no add to living in a tent with a pc its crazy and yet the pc is still bad ass lol

but when i had a 360 i never had an issue with i purposely got the RROD which was just me un plugging the av cables alil bit so my sister would think she couldnt play it anymore

when i worked at gamestop half of the RROD issues were simple fixes like av cables bad power supply and sauntering issue i turned these stupid mistakes and idiot people into a profit

and no, it wasn't the av cables or power jack, im pretty sure the av cables don't even give you 3 red lights, all 4 light up

best way to tell if your 360 has a actual hardware failure is by wrapping it in a towel for 20 minutes turned on shut it off, and in 10 minutes if it turns back on without 3 red lights than obviously its the motherboard...

Theres always walmart im sure some of you know what tha tmeans

when i buy shit for consoles i go all out and buy a lot,

when the Sega Saturn came out, i bought so much shit for it a couple grand worth on launch year, than they discontinued

Um yeah Ive had my RROD already, I bought it that way! Better yet, I snagged it from someone who was going to trash it.

Fixed it myself with the Heat Gun method, applied new AS5, and modded a side intake fan to help draw in cool air. Even thought of putting a waterblock on it and making a custom WC loop, but didn't want to invest $200 in something I got for free.

So so far 22-13 in favor of them dying, again that's not counting the multiples multiple times. So it seems we could say w/ decent confidence that at least 60% (probably closer to 70%) of the Xbox 360s owned by TPU members have gone totally kaput. So if you decide to buy an XBox, just know that you are more likely to have to replace it than to have it work. Is there any other product that would be acceptable for you? Is there anything else you would buy knowing full well it was probable, not just possible but probable, that it would die?

think about it,
if they include in their sales figures, every xbox 360 thats refurbished then add the people that have to buy new 360s since there old ones failed and couldn't get them replaced by ms for whatever reason, thats alot of 360's that they can say they sold.
