After figuring out the problem with my PC, I booted it up and now I can't figure out what to do. I'll try to describe this in detail.
The motherboard is a Gigabyte EX38-DS4
When I boot up, it allows me to either go to the bios, POST, or flash the BIOS. I pop in a copy of Windows XP (I'm going to upgrade to vista right after) and everything goes fine. I see a plain screen saying "Boot from CD/DVD_" with the underscore blinking.
Waiting doesn't do anything. I press enter a few times and even on occasion, the PC shuts off my mouse and keyboard.
The motherboard is not new. I have used it before. All I did was get a new Harddrive.
What should I do from here? Is it because I only swapped the HD?
