OK i just finished my HTPC build (well i have all the parts anyways) and i was bored tonight and wanted to play around with it. so i have everything mounted and have a 20GB 5,400RPM hard drive that i tested working on a S478 system. SO heres my problem, i set the bios to boot from CD and the second boot device the hard drive. well i pop the windows CD in and it starts up. i delete ALL partitions and tell it to format NTFS (QUICK) so it does and starts installing the base files. well here is were it goes bad. After installing the base files the PC restarts and i let it try to boot from the hard drive and it pops up NTLDR is missing please hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart. I have done this many times and still same result. i have set everything in the bios for IDE. I have also tried some of the fixes from google and still same result. Anyone have any ideas before i take another computers hard drive to see if it gets the same result?
