HBM Question

Now, because HBM is memory I decided to post here.
So with HBM, what advantage would this have over GDDR5 for rendering purposes?

No, GPU is faster than CPU. vRAM is the issue. Amount of RAM ain't enough or restricting.

GPU is a shiton faster than CPU in rendering. The issue is inflexibility of GPU's RAM. You can't upgrade a vRAM without swapping out the whole thing and, before 10xx came by, GPU RAM were only 4GBish which weren't anywhere enough for any decent render.

Speed of vRAM has virtually no impact. CUDA also has texture limit and other limits. CPU rendering just works and extremely stable.

More bandwidth (helps with faster rendering)
