i got card sapphire HD 5870 with latest bios. i want to slow-down fan speed in the idle mode under 20% (hard limit in bios). using latest RBE 1.22 to edit bios file, flashing, boot to windows (Win 7 ultimate 64bit) ati driver can not recognize card, even after re-installing drivers. after flashing original bios back, all working fine again.

any suggestions ?

thanks.

You must have changed some of the protected values. Some parts of the BIOS are signed by ATi and if you change them the driver will refuse to recognize the card. That's why we need a signed unlocked BIOS from other manufacturers to overclock the cards instead of just increasing the limits ourselves in BIOS.
