So, finally my mom has accepted my request for a new graphics card under 145$, so currently in my budget i have two options..7750 or hd 6850, i read in a website they say 22nm is 3x times faster than 40nm cards but benchmarks don't really prove that.

id recommend a HD6870 over both those cards, rebates are plenty these days and the card is easily better that 7750/6850 AND 7770.

In the title you have the 7770 but in the thread you have 7750.

Either way I'd go with the 6850. It has the same speed as the 7770 for cheaper and is much more powerful than the 7750.

I'd go with this. $119.99 after rebate

if you care about power consumption or you may get another one to CF, then 7770
else, 6850 or even 6870 as long as it's in buget.

Benchmark Scores They're pretty good, nothing crazy.
The power consumption is already low on the 6850 / 6870 that it is a bit of a moot point - go with the best performance/$.

The 22nm is NOT 3x times faster than 40nm actually its 28nm the 7000 series is faster then the 6000 series but like the 5870 was faster then the 6870. It just a change in the scale. The 28nm are more efficient

I have seen 6870 on sale after rebate for $140 ...... go hang out at Newegg

+1 6850 barely exceeds 100w. and one six pin like 7770.

They typically don't have rebates outside US and many other things.:(

so i've finally ordered an msi r6850 cyclone which is factory overclocked and i was fairly impressions the positive reviews about it too, it's a bit expensive here... would cost me around around 170-175$ (Rs 9.7K) but i am considerably happy that my i could probably almost any game in full hd resolution and it was also not easy for me to make my mom agreeing to pay so much for that card.

The cyclone power edition is a decent card, and overclocks well, although it will probably get a bit loud. You can overclock to stock 6870 performance.
