HD 7850/7870 Memory Interface

Just wondering what's up with AMD's website. They claim that the HD 7850 and 7870 have a 128 bit memory interface, but most of the other websites say it has a 256 bit interface. So which is it? Isn't it a step back if it has 128 bit?

Seems like AMD's website has it wrong. Their press deck shows 256 bit.
