I'm using catalyst 7.12, with a HIS HD3870 and Windows xp SP2
Whenever I force AA or AF settings in the CCC it will take effect ONLY in the next 3d app
For example: I force 4xAA and 8xAF and I launch a game. As soon as I quit the game, and launch another one, the AA and AF will be disabled even though CCC says its at 4 AA/ 8 AF. If i want aa and af I have to go back into ccc and move the sliders, apply, then move the sliders back to 4xAA 8xAF and then hit apply again
It doesn't matter what games I try, I've tried many (WC3, BF2, Bioshock, COD4, HL2 and other Source-based games, etc..) the AA and AF settings will always revert back to disabled after the first game. I know its gone back to disabled because the jaggies are VERY noticeable after getting used to AA
It also happened when I was using 7.11 drivers
By the way I also used ATI tool to force the AA/AF settings but it has the same effect, it always goes back to disabled after quitting the first game and I have to reapply the settings each time after quitting a game
I prefer not to leave it Application controlled because many games don't offer the option to set AA and AF in game
Is this a bug in the driver or something?
