HD5350 & HD5550 cards

Does anyone know anything about these cards? I've read that they should be out in q1 2010 but when in q1? Also, I can't find any spec info at all. I'm hoping for 160+ shaders, DX11 and finally being able to game on them.

I found this out about the 5550 card.

Also planned are some 32nm graphics cards for the first quarter of 2010, as AMD start using this new manufacturing process with their low-end products, as they often do. The Radeon HD 5670 (Redwood XT), Radeon HD 5650 (Redwood PRO) and Radeon HD 5550 (Cedar XT) are all 32nm budget parts that should run extremely cool and consume very little power.

I was just going to get a HD4550 or a HD4650 but now that I know this will be a 32nm chip, I'll wait.

no way they are 32 nm .. tsmc isnt there yet. 40 nm should be good enough though

If you google: "ATI 32nm" Some sites say they are skipping the 32nm process and others say thay have made them already.

I find it strange that there isn't any info on them yet, but I guess they are low-end.

I guess you are right according to your News Editor. The 4650 is 40nm. But the jury is still out on the 5350/5550.

The 4650 is 55nm. The 5670 is 40nm.

I'd say 120 or 160 shaders (2 or 3 SIMD units). Maybe 200 shaders if they decide to change the SIMD ration like they did in the previous generation but I think that would be too much. 4 or 8 ROPs and 10 to 16 TMUs.

I'd say the HD5550 should be a high-clocked GPU (~850MHz) with 64bit GDDR5, whereas the HD5350 should be around 600MHz using 64bit DDR3.

The mobile version of the HD5550 should become a very interesting GPU for thin and light notebooks.
