HDD cage removal on HAF922

Hey guys, I'm using the spectacular HAF922 case, and in order to increase airflow even more I thought about removing the entire HDD cage and placing my only HDD into the 5.25" bay with the provided brackets.

Now I have two questions about this:

1. Should I expect drops in temperatures, or would it only be a cosmetic increase of the already superb airflow?

2. Would my HDD suffer from the "lack" of cooling?

Why don't you try doing it and tell us the results? I think the HDD tray is removable when needed, no need to dremel it off.

Got no time at the moment as I'm not at home, and I've seen a few people around here remove the HDD cage so I was wondering what the effects on temperatures are.

If you've got nothing else to comment than a useless "Why don't you do it yourself?" then don't bother.
