hdd no show

I just put a hdd into an external enclosure and put it via e-sata onto my comp, but I can't get it to show up in my computer. Its detected in the bios, and its in the device manager, and it says ready to use, but it won't show up in my computer. What gives? :confused:

It isn't unformatted either. I got mythbuntu on it atm, but I will reformat it as soon as I can get it to show........

Farlex, that is exactly the problem. If you have any other formatting other than FAT32/16 or NTFS the partitions will not be recognized under any Win OS, assuming here that's what you are trying to do is run it under a Windows environment.

In other words if you no longer want mythubuntu on it, go into the Disk management utility (right mouse click "My Computer"->Manage->Disk Management) you can then format and partition it however you would like.

I forgot all about the disk managment menu. I was just impatient, sorry. One of those moments...... :laugh:
